Walk.Bike.Schools! Resources, Samples & Examples

BY

Welcome to our Samples, Examples, and Downloads page where we’ve tried to share work Walk.Bike.Schools! members have created for their active school transportation programs. Shared items include grant applications and programs documents (such as Safe Route to School applications). Some are “how-tos” (for example “How to Plan a Bike Rodeo”) or instructional in nature. And still others are samples of communications or posters parents have created for their programs over the  years. We hope this snapshot of “early” program work can serve as inspiration and stepping stones for all the great programs to come.

NOTE: This page will grow (but only with your help — please share your program examples!) and develop over time; expect the structure to change. My goal will is to group like items together into “sections” for easier browsing. I’ll try to keep the links intact as I move items around, but if something does disappear, contact walkbikeschools and we’ll try to track it down. All content has been provided by volunteers who believe they have the rights to share/distribute the works. Please contact us if you have any concerns.

Posters and other Graphics

These are few posters from the Bryant archives. If you have samples from another program, please share them. It would be great to build a small library of active transportation promotional materials from Seattle schools.

2008: 1st Year of October Walk Event

An early (2008) poster idea for Walk month. This was deemed a little severe for a first year event. We went softer in 2009.

Poster for 2009 Walk & Wheel Month

Poster for October 2009. We called it “Walktober” but I think this shows we were “Wheel” people at heart.

For 2010, we dropped "Walktober" and embraced our inner "wheel."
